On July 31, 2005, By Design Online launched their website Broken Hill Direct, a business and services directory for visitors and locals of Broken Hill.

By Design Online is managed by Kelly Burford. Kelly began designing website's in 1995 when she developed an interest in learning how to develop website's. The first program Kelly used was Microsoft Front Page, teaching herself design skills and coding. When she became advance she purchased Macromedia Dreamweaver and began to learn how to use the program to develop professional presented website's. Kelly is also undertaking further education and training in Internet Technology in 2006 to better services your needs, and update her skills to meet changes within the industry.
